Temporarily uplift ServiceNow access form

The Washington Release of ServiceNow introduced Time-Limited Roles, allowing admins to grant temporary access with an automatic expiry date.
While this is a step in the right direction for access control, it lacks key features that organisations need—such as approval workflows, self-service requests, and proactive notifications.
Recognising these gaps, I designed and built a bespoke solution that enhances Time-Limited Roles by adding:
Self-service requests – Users can request temporary roles via a structured form.
Approval workflows – Ensuring managers review and authorise access.
Automated expiry alerts – Notifying users and admins before access is revoked.
Audit & reporting – Improved visibility into role assignments for compliance.
How It Works
Users request access through a custom ServiceNow form.
Managers approve or deny requests via an automated workflow.
System tracks duration and revokes access at expiry.
Alerts & reporting ensure visibility and compliance.
My solution bridges the gaps in ServiceNow’s default offering, giving organisations more control, security, and automation.
